Parliamentary Groups: European People’s Party

Founded in 1976, the European People's Party consists of Christian democratic, liberal conservative and pro-European parties in general. It has been discussed recently whether the populist Hungarian Fidesz party can remain part of the EPP group. The EPP is the biggest group within the EU parliament.
